It’s a mixed bag of what is open and closed this Good Friday and Easter Sunday during the COVID-19 pandemic.
While the Premier of Ontario suggested he was asking all grocery stores and pharmacy employers to give their employees the day off that’s not entirely the case here in Thunder Bay.
While George’s Market, Safeway, Walmart, Metro and the Wholesale Club will be closed for both of those days, other stores are not.
Those stores that will be open on Good Friday and Sunday include Shoppers Drug Mart and Skaf’s Just Basics.
Standard physical distancing rules still apply and you should take health precautions when going out grocery shopping.
