Province Asks Pharmacies To Fill One Month Only

Health Minister Christine Elliott says they do have some concerns about prescription medications drying up during the pandemic.
Elliott says they know there’s increased pressure on the supply of drugs both internationally and in Ontario.
“Because people have been asking for larger supplies, three-month prescriptions rather than one-month prescriptions. We want to make sure there’s enough for everyone who needs particular medicines, that’s why we’ve asked pharmacies to only supply in one-month intervals,” Elliott said.
The Health Minister says they are looking into other ways to provide medicines to everyone during the pandemic.
