Legend Of Ozzy

Admittedly, I don’t play a lot of video games. Usually I’ll play with the kids if they want me to join in or I’ll occasionally pick up a wrestling game and wrestle off a bad day. I do have a love for retro games though, and I’m more likely to try playing something retro before trying something new. A lot of bands have had cameos in video games over the years and a few, like Iron Maiden for example, have even launched their own video games on several platforms. This year sees Ozzy Osbourne not only release a new album (‘Ordinary Man’, which I think is the best thing he’s done since the 90’s) but also launch a retro-8-bit video game called ‘Legend of Ozzy’. It’s a pretty simple game, you use your arrow keys to move back and forth to collect blood and health icons while avoiding eyeballs, devils and the like. While you’re dressed like a bat. It’s very reminiscent of the game ‘Spy Hunter’ (which is a favourite of mine) and a fun way to kill a few minutes, perhaps while you’re streaming the new Ozzy album, or better yet, listening to us on The Bay!

Check out Ordinary Man, the title song from Ozzy’s new album featuring Elton John here!
