Property Taxes Discussed At Public Meeting

There weren’t too many people who showed up to a town hall meeting, put on by Mayor Bill Mauro, to discuss the 2020 budget.

Westfort Councillor Kristen Oliver tells us it was nevertheless interesting, as the city’s finance department gave an overview of where Thunder Bay property taxes compare to other cities of similar size.

Due to the number of people showing last night at the Kinsmen Youth Hall, there was question as to whether the mayor would have the second meeting, next Tuesday at the Italian Cultural Hall.

Oliver says the mayor plans to go ahead with that public meeting.
