A 20-year-old woman is facing a second-degree murder and aggravated assault charge following an overnight incident in the Picton area that left one person dead and two others injured.
Police say they were called to the area Monday night, around midnight, for what they say was a major incident.
Two female victims were found outside near the street and one passed away from their injuries. The other remains in the hospital.
Police say Brianna Netemegesic is facing the charges, but police have not given the victim’s name.
A large police presence remains now, and they are asking if any residents of the immediate area find potential evidence on their property, they are urged not to touch it but call police immediately.
Everyone else is being asked to avoid the area.
Police continue to hold the scene at the Midtown Inn, where a 25-year old woman died Saturday night. Details are still expected on what happened, with autopsy results in Toronto still to come.
Police have released the scene on Court Street, where a body was found Saturday morning, details still to come on that case.
Police have NOT confirmed whether the death at the Midtown Inn or the body found on Court Street are homicides.
