Kenora MP Gauges Gun Legislation Interest

With the federal government looking at implementing a ban on all military-style assault rifles, Conservative MP Eric Melillo is looking to hear from his Kenora riding constituents about the issue.

Melillo says he has sent out a questionnaire and his party has also set-up a petition.

“I already know that it’s the most signed petition in Canadian history, which I think goes to show how many people this impacts,” Melillo said.

The deadline to sign the e-petition is February 15th and a link can be found HERE.

“I’ve talked to people across the region, those who are gun owners, and those who don’t even own guns, or don’t know people who own guns. They are concerned with this government over reach, and the fact that the Liberals are seemingly focused on taking guns from law abiding firearms owners.” said the Conservative MP.
