Elementary Teachers with the Lakehead Public School Board will be walking out next week.
The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario says the teachers with Lakehead School Board will be walking off the job on Wednesday, February 5th and Thursday, February 6th, when all its teachers across the province will be staging a one-day strike.
Elementary schools in Kenora, Dryden, Sioux Lookout, Red Lake, and Ignace are closed today as part of the ETFO’s rotating strikes.
The teachers are in a contract battle with the Ford government over class sizes and salaries.
