Four Charged In Firearms Case

Two people from Toronto and two from Thunder Bay are charged after police investigated a sighting of a firearm in the area of Cumberland Street North.

Police found four men and found that one of them was in possession of a firearm illegally.

A second man was also arrested for a firearms-related offence.

Further investigation revealed that the group of men had been in a hallway at the Midtown Inn earlier that morning where they were observed brandishing what appeared to be two firearms.

Both firearms observed have since been seized by police.

The four will be in bail court Tuesday.

A section of Pearl Street closed off by police during this investigation has been re-opened.
