The head of the Chamber of Commerce is pleased City Council is embarking on the second phase of its program and services review.
President Charla Robinson tells us this is something they have been calling for, for a long time. “Looking forward to continuing to work toward finding some new ideas and solutions to improve services and effectiveness of tax dollar spending. [which will come in the second phase in the spring]”
The first phase of the $256,000 audit to find cost savings in city-run programs and services recently wrapped up and is now posted on the city’s WEBSITE. The second phase of work being conducted by Grant Thornton LLP is expected to be back before Council by June of 2020.
