Duluth Waiting For Massive Snowfall

If you are heading south of the border, watch out for a big snow storm this weekend.

Environment Canada meteorologist Gerald Cheng is noting a Colorado low is visiting Minnesota, including Minneapolis where plenty of snow will land.

“In total 20cms of snow for the next 48 hours. But if you go north, to Duluth, because of Lake Superior there are some areas that could get as much as two feet of snow.”

The Environment Canada meteorologist adds the wind will pick up, with gusts to 70kms an hour in those areas.

He adds we won’t have to worry too much about the storm on this side of the border, since a high pressure system will stop the snow from crossing into Canada.

Cheng adds Saturday will be a write-off, but the snow gradually tapers off Sunday.
