I wasn’t expecting to see this today, or maybe ever! E.T. has come back to earth and reunited with Elliott! It’s not in a sequel to the absolute smash hit 1982 movie, but a commercial! Purists may not be happy about it, but I was quite pleased to see the duo back together again. Henry Thomas reprises his role as Elliott and E.T. looks like he hasn’t aged a day.
I saw E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial in the theatre when I was a very young kid. What I remember the most is crying when the people came for E.T. I was so young, I didn’t really realize what was happening, but I decided to cry because my mom and sister were crying. I’ve seen the movie several times since then, so seeing the characters and hearing the music again in this commercial stuck a chord with me.
