Job Action Escalates Today By Teachers

Update 10am:

Education Minister Stephen Lecce has released a statement regarding the increased job action by teachers against the government.

He says this partial withdrawal of services, including targeting math supports and report cards, hurts our children the most.

The Minister adds the government has remained a consistent and reasonable force at the bargaining table.

Information pickets are up at various schools across Thunder Bay and around the province today.

In Thunder Bay, the Lakehead Public School Board has posted to its website information will be passed out while parents and students are expected to pass through.

Classes will continue, but some administrative activities have been withdrawn.

Contract talks with the government continue.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
