Winter Drops About 10cms Of Snow

Looks like Environment Canada was fairly accurate with the amount of snow to fall last night.

We’re told about 10cms did fall, another 2-4 to taper off this morning.

Traffic update at 9am

We were told of a collision at the corner of the TransCanada and Habour Expressway.

A check of Ministry of Transportation website shows a number of plows working area highways.

In town, city crews are working through area roads, including sidestreets.

Cancellations as of 6am

All school buses have been cancelled for today by Student Transportation Services.

That affects Crestview, Kakabeka Falls, Gorham and Ware, McKenzie, Valley Central and Whitefish Valley schools which are closed.

All other schools remain open.

There are also delays for arrivals and departures at the Thunder Bay International Airport.

Power Outages as of 5:30am

Hydro One is reporting less than 50 customers are without power in O’Connor, Neebing and Cloud Bay areas.

Synergy North has no problems to report.
