Area Initiatives Get Tbaytel Support

Students at St. Martin School in Thunder Bay are getting a financial boost for their charity project. They are recipients of $1,500 towards the Blessing Cupboard initiative through the Tbaytel-For Good Campaign.

Other local programs getting funding from Tbaytel are the Grub Tub Snack Program, along with a gardeners program in Shuniah.

Grub Tub allows teachers in elementary schools to hand out healthy snacks to students who have not or have forgotten their snacks. It will receive $1,500 as well.

In Shuniah, the Till the Beds are Made program is getting $500 towards the purchase of a rototiller so gardeners can grow food for themselves and local charities.

In the region, a street patrol program in Sioux Lookout is getting $5,000 while an initiative for cancer patients in Dryden is receiving $500.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
