It didn’t take long for Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue to handle a fire on Simpson Street overnight.
They say they got multiple calls just after 1 o’clock this morning, arriving to find plenty of smoke and flame coming from the rear of the property against a building.
Fire crews say the fire had started to penetrate the roof of the building.
Reinforcements had to be called in, but it was quickly brought under control.
No word of injuries or the cause.

Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
