Minorities Face On-The-Job Bigotry: Poll

A disturbing statistic indicates a third of visible minorities in Canada have experienced discrimination on the job.

The poll was ordered by Boston Consulting Group’s Centre for Canada’s Future.

It also discovered a third of women, LGBTQ and those with darker skin, faced at least one incident of discrimination.

Stacey Parks of the Thunder Bay Multicultural Association says it is something society should “not be proud of.”

She believes the information can be used to develop a game plan to battle such intolerance by focusing on what our shortcomings are and what we can do differently to combat them.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
