North Stars 50-50 Draw Goes Online

The Thunder Bay North Stars hockey club is now on-board a new trend among sports teams….online 50-50 draws.

Team spokesperson Mike Tallari explains they rolled out the new format this week, which he emphasizes, is separate from the 50-50 draws that take place during all North Stars hockey games.

He tells us the Power Play Pay Day raffle is essentially open to anyone across the country. Tickets are purchased online and the draw is held every two weeks. The first one takes place on November 14th.

Tallari is thrilled with the new method of fundraising noting the money goes towards the costs of running the team, from bussing the players to their games every two weeks, to bringing new players to the city, to the “day-to-day costs” the club might encounter.”
