Turf Facility Consulting Fee Tops $1.5 Million

The cost of hiring a consultant to study the proposed indoor turf facility will be just over $1.5 million.

City councillor Shelby Ch’ng believes it is the right way to go because of the importance of having the $30 million Chapples Park facility.

Ch’ng says she hopes her fellow Councillors vote in favour of hiring Stantec Architecture because ” it’s imperative once we have a vision we stick with it’ so the city can get something for the community “we can all enjoy.”

The Northwood Councillor believes we are losing out to other municipalities because of the lack of indoor soccer in Thunder Bay.

The proposal goes before city council Monday night.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
