The list for the nominees to the Rock N Roll Hall of fame for next year was released today. Voting takes place over the next few months and the winners will be announced in January. The rules for induction are, essentially, that an artist’s first commercial recording needs to have been released at least 25 years prior to nomination and the artist needs to have contributed to popular music (not necessarily rock n’ roll itself) in a positive way. The artist needs to have pushed boundaries or created something completely new to be considered. I’ve posted this years list below, of these 16, five will be inducted to the hall in 2020.I marked my top picks with an asterisk (*) and it was a tough choice for me, so many good artists on this list!
