There is new life in the former Sears store at the Intercity Shopping Centre.
General Manager Stacey Ball tells us they are still working on filling up the rest of Sears with other businesses.
“The balance of the main floor of Sears as well as perhaps a phase two [for the project] which would be the second level of Sears [those are still empty]. We are still working very hard behind the scenes and hopefully one day soon we’ll have another exciting announcement very similar to the opening of Marshalls.”
Over 100 people lined up for two hours this morning waiting to get into the new store.
According to Ball, the new store fills 40 percent of the main floor of the former Sears.
