First… A national group is raising awareness of child poverty in Canada.
Campaign 2000 says the issue is improving with declining rates in certain parts of the country.
But more still needs to be done, as some areas remain stagnant.
And it’s hoping the issue becomes more of a focal point in the federal election campaign.

She also finds the fact we had a provincial election last year, and working towards a federal vote this month, as interesting.

The Red Lake Miners currently sit fourth in the national rankings out of 132 Canadian Junior Hockey League teams.
