Flu season is upon us and the Thunder Bay Health Unit is starting up their clinics next week.
Manager of the Vaccine-Preventable Diseases Program Kandace Belanger tells us this is the second year their clinics will focus on kids under five and their families.
“With the vaccine being available at pharmacies and through health care providers those individuals have a lot more opportunities to get the flu vaccine. We are focusing on those under 5 because they are at greater risk to get the flu and they can’t be vaccinated at the pharmacy.”
