Shelter House Has High Hopes For Fundraiser

Shelter House is hoping you’ll support them by buying tickets for their new black-tie fundraising dinner in support of the SOS program.

Executive Director Michelle Jordan tells us without their street outreach program people would be dying on the streets because of northwestern Ontario’s extremely cold temperatures.

Jordan adds they hope to bring in $25,000 for the SOS program but notes that it isn’t enough to fully fund the program.

Throughout the year Shelter House will be continuing to find ways to fund the vital service.

The evening fundraiser at the Chanterelle is set for November 2nd and will feature comedian Ron Kanutski and musical entertainment from Duelling Pianos featuring Danny Johnson and Company.

Kari Chiapetta is a consultant and is helping put on the fundraiser. She says she wanted to get involved because Shelter House and its SOS program is a wonderful program and one that is needed in our city.
