Plea Expected In 2017 Deaths

A Thunder Bay man is expected to make a plea in relation to a July 2017 double homicide on Carl Avenue.

Garnet Loon will be back in court on November 5th, with a sentencing date scheduled for January 6th.

Loon faces a manslaughter and murder charge in the deaths of Kory Lee Campbell and Robert Lloyd Gray.

His co-accused Kailee Loon was sentenced in the summer in relation to this case.

She was facing a charge of second-degree murder but saw it reduced to assault in relation to the deaths.

Police at the time of the arrest said the accused were known to the victims.
