Parents Don’t Forget To Check Kids For Head Lice

The arrival of fall not only brings back school but cooler weather which is when head lice tend to breed.

Public health nurse Laura Prodanyk has a piece of advice for parents of kids going back to school.

“It’s really beneficial if they can catch it nice and early. Don’t wait for a letter to come home. Don’t wait for there to be a lot of itching. Once a week have a look.”

More information on head lice can be found on the Thunder Bay District Health Unit’s website.
