Cannabis Store Applicant Disqualified

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario has narrowed down the list of applicants to open cannabis stores this fall.

Applicants selected last week were required to submit completed applications and certain documents by Wednesday, August 28.

Of the 42 applicants, 29 made their applications and submitted their required documents on time.

12 didn’t submit all of the required documents by the deadline and have been disqualified.

Last week, the AGCO announced Gerald Harrison could apply for a licence for a store at 1802 Victoria Avenue East. He has since been disqualified.

A numbered Ontario company can now apply for a licence to open a store at 236 Red River Road.

Below is the new proposed location for Thunder Bay’s first cannabis store.
