James Street South is going to be closed to traffic after the labour day holiday.
James will be closed between Parkway Drive, and Victoria Avenue will be closed for storm sewer work.
There will be posted detours around the area.
Construction is expected to take about eight weeks and could end in late October.
Meanwhile, Dawson Road will also be off-limits starting on Tuesday between Fassina Street and Strand Avenue for resurfacing.
The work is expected to last four to five weeks.
