Man Charged After South End Collision

A 35-year old Thunder Bay man is facing charges following a collision in the south end.

Police say there was almost a collision between one of their cruisers and another driver who failed to stop at the intersection of Simpson and Miles Streets last night at around 7.

Police tried to stop the driver at the corner of Finlayson and Simpson, with no luck.

Soon after the vehicle crashed into a parked truck at Loudon Bros parking lot near Pacific, at which time police claim they found the man impaired by drugs.

Police add he was released on a Promise to Appear for a future court date.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
