The City and the Lakehead University Thunderwolves men’s hockey team have a new agreement so the team can play at the Fort William Gardens.
LU spokesperson Tom Warden admits it is only for one year, which he says it gives both sides a chance to work on a longer term agreement everyone can be happy with.
The new agreement also allows for online sale of tickets starting next month, which Warden agrees may help to increase attendance.
The LU athletic director adds there are “a whole litany of things within the licence agreement” including cash from concession which he insists is “necessary for (them) to survive as an entity.”
