A number of local organizations held a mock funeral this afternoon for the most vulnerable in Ontario.
Injured Workers Support Group President Janet Paterson tells us they are taking a stand against recent provincial government cuts to Legal Aid Ontario.
She points out “the people who typically use Legal Aid Ontario, are the people who have disabilities, who aren’t able to work, (and) have long term illnesses.”
Paterson adds they are also upset over the loss of a legal aid lawyer who served the region’s injured workers.
