The Bay and Algoma area will be jam-packed with people this weekend as Buskersfest returns for another year.
Spokesperson Brian Hamilton tells us they’ve come along way with the event since it started as a sidewalk sale.
“Year one was probably about 4,000 people attending and it just increased from there. I think this year we are expecting 6 to 7,000 people.”
This is the seventh year for the annual event that features live entertainment and sales from ten until five both days this weekend.
Organizers tell us this year they’ve brought even more entertainment from outside of Thunder Bay including a living statue from Winnipeg.
A new addition to the event will be a dunk tank fundraiser in support of the United Way.
