Bike lanes and bridges, or roads. What should be city council’s bigger priority?
This week, city council voted to approve the construction of a pedestrian/bike bridge to cross the floodway, joining the north and south trails. The goal is to keep cyclists off of Memorial Avenue, and to make the route safer. Councillor Ruberto suggested that if we don’t have money for the bridge, it could be taken from the city’s road budget to pay for it – and we can delay repairs and work on city roads to cover the cost.

Should city council continue to invest in bike lanes throughout the city OR should they invest more in roads and infrastructure?
