Thunder Bay’s Fire and Rescue is out with a warning after they were called to a home where a mattress was destroyed due to a tablet catching fire while charging on the bed.
They posted pictures of the damaged mattress on Facebook.
They say charging electronics on your bed or under your pillow is extremely dangerous because the heat builds-up when charging cannot go anywhere causing the charger to become hotter and hotter.
