Search Scaled Back But Not Over For Missing Man

Ontario Provincial Police say they are not giving up on looking for a missing 35-year-old man.

Although they are scaling back, their search Constable Diana Cole tells us they are still hopeful they’ll be able to find Edward Tremblay.

“Our OPP air service is going to fly over the area as time allows them to do so. Our officers will be attending the area as time permits, and we’ll be out on ATV. As well in the fall, we will search after foliage falls, it should be easier to see the terrain.”

Tremblay’s keys and hat were found at the end of Hilldale Road, and he was believed to be in the 1300 block area of the road on Sunday, July 7th, at about 3 am.

He was wearing:

• Grey sweater with a zipper up the middle
• Green T-shirt with a Toronto Blue Jays emblem
• Black shoes with light blue stitching
• Faded light blue jeans

Edward is described as a Caucasian male standing about 5’11” and weighing about 230 pounds. He has curly brown hair, a dark brown full beard with a moustache, and brown eyes.

Police say the area they have been searching is so vast and there’s hope the missing man is seeking shelter in the many buildings in the outlying rural areas.

The family has told police that their loved one was on the phone with them while walking near Hilldale the night they last heard from him.
