On this day, 50 years ago, the Apollo 11 mission to the moon blasted off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Neil Armstrong, Edwin (Buzz) Aldrin and Michael Collins lifted off at 9:32 a.m. ET on July 16, 1969. There are a lot of events planned this week to celebrate in the lead up to the 50th Anniversary of the first ever moon walk on the 20th. Today Apollo 11 astronaut Michael Collins returned to the exact spot that he took off for the moon 50 years ago. Check below for the interview, as well as a couple of launch videos. Very, very cool to hear from one of the heroes.
