City Manager Happy With Blues Fest

The City Manager is calling Blues Fest “a remarkable success.”

City Manager Norm Gale notes the event drew over 21,000 people, and also helped out the local economy.

“The estimate on the direct spending is $750,000 associated with the Blues Fest,” Gale explains. “That includes accommodations, meals, other tourist-type activities, and people enjoying the show and spending money while they’re here.”

The City Manager says around 1,500 visitors came to the city because of Blues Fest.

He adds organizers did a great job, and thanks them for their hard work.
