An 18-year-old from East St. Paul, Manitoba is dead after the RCMP received a distress signal on the Mantario Trail.
The young man was dropped off with his supplies near Caddy Lake early Friday morning.
A helicopter in the area was notified by the distress signal and flew the coordinates given by the Mounties.
By 8:00 Friday night, the male was pronounced dead at the remote location, on the east side of Marion Lake.
An autopsy has been scheduled, and the investigation is on-going.
