A provincial hospital union is asking the PC government to reconsider funding cuts to the health care sector.
Michael Hurley is the President of the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions and feels that if the government doesn’t reconsider, there will be a loss of jobs at hospitals.
“We need to invest in hospitals in Ontario in terms of increasing their bed capacity and staffing levels so they can take on the increased pressure from an ageing population.”
The President of the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions compares the Ford government’s plans for health care to cuts made by the former Harris government.
