If you’re looking for work in the mining sector, there’s a job fair today at the Marriott Hotel on the Harbour Expressway.
Lissette Penate is with Synterra Security, and tells us they need security guards for the increasing number of mines.
“We are growing, so it’s really important in Thunder Bay,” she explains. “Not just because we have some mines that are close by, but [because] we are a First Nations-owned company.”
The marketing recruiter adds much of the training provided is paid for.
