One person has been treated for smoke inhalation following a fire in the south end.
Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue say they were called to an apartment building last night to reports of smoke coming from a 4th floor unit on Spence Court.
When they got there one person could be seen from the balcony.
The fire department adds that person was rescued, the fire quickly put out.
The cause is a cooking mishap that fire officials say could’ve been much worse.
They add working smoke alarms alerted everyone else in the building of the danger.
