An annual fundraiser for the Special Olympics is happening at Chapples Park today.
The local Law Enforcement Torch Run gets started at noon outside the soccer club buildings.
Participants will meet at 11:00, and the opening ceremonies will take place at 11:30 ahead of the run itself.
Athletes, coaches, supporters and local officers are taking part in the run and walk to celebrate local Special Olympics.
They’ve also held a number of fundraising events throughout the year, including the Serving You fundraiser by city police held this week.
