City Awards New Infrastructure Projects

The city has chosen which firms will do a total of over $8.5-million worth of work for three infrastructure projects.

One of the contracts handed out last night was the third stage of work on Junot Avenue, including sanitary sewer work, and a new pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Junot and Windsor Street.

Councillors also awarded the contracts for south-side storm sewer upgrades, and for asphalt work including parts of Donald Street and Victoria Avenue.

That will also include removing the traffic lights at Victoria and Lillie, and installing a pedestrian crossing at Victoria and Ford Street.
