Steel & Aluminum Tariffs Lifted

Canada and the United States have reached a deal to lift steel and aluminum tariffs.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told reporters what it took to get this new deal.

“These tariffs were harming workers and consumers on both sides of the border, and as we look at moving forward with the new NAFTA, it didn’t make sense having tariffs on steel and aluminum between our countries.”

The agreement came after the parties reached a stalemate over a year ago.
