Don’t Leave Trash On Crown Land

A local conservation officer is reminding you to take your garbage home with you after you’ve enjoyed the great outdoors.

Conservation Officer Rick Leblanc says your best bet is to just bring a garbage bag along with you on your excusion.

“A lot of people like to burn it to get rid of the smell, ok but once the fire is out and cans don’t burn that’s garbage. Please gather it up and bring it back into town with you.”

The conservation officer notes burying your garbage isn’t wise because bears still can find it and dig it up.
