Horwath, Elliott Clash Over Telemedicine Cuts

Ontario’s Telemedicine Network the latest target of funding cuts by the provincial government.

NDP say the network has let go up to 44 employees as a result.

Leader Andrea Horwath calls it a promise broken saying “the premier’s promise that no government employee would lose their job, is about as credible as his promise that the parients of children with autism would never have to protest on the lawns of Queen’s Park again.”

Health Minister Christine Elliott says the Network is making “thoughtful, pragmatic decisions about how they are using taxpayer dollars.”
