HMCS Griffon Helping Ottawa With Flood

Military and navy officials from across the province are helping battle rising water levels and flooding in Ottawa.

Four naval reservists from Thunder Bay have been deployed and Commanding officer of the HMCS Griffon Robert Cooke tells us he’s not sure how long they’ll be in Canada’s capital.

“Mother nature will dictate that but I would think a week maybe two. If it goes beyond that then we will transition them out and we will replace them with other reservists.”

Thunder Bay provided personnel and not boats and equipment.
