The remote northern community of KI First Nation, northeast of Sioux Lookout, is celebrating the opening of its new Health Care Centre.
Kenora MP Bob Nault says the facility will help improve the well-being of community members by providing accessible and culturally appropriate health services and mental health care.
Nault says the centre will also provide a wide range of dental care and children’s oral health services.
The federal government invested $18.5-million in the health care centre.
Nault calls the opening a great achievement for the community of roughly 960.
