An argument over Facebook messenger has landed one man in police custody, charged with aggravated assault on another man.
Police say they were called to a Laidlaw Drive home just before 6, Saturday morning, to reports of a serious assault.
They found the argument happened the night before, then around 5:30 that morning, the accused woke the victim and started hitting him with a hammer.
Another individual pulled the attacker off, who then fled the building.
Police say the Thunder Bay man was arrested at a nearby gas station, and remains in police custody.
The victim was treated at hospital.
