MNRF Out With NWO Burn Restrictions

Although the ground isn’t ripe right now for forest fires, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is still issuing a warning.

Information Officer Chris Marchand is out with a seasonal reminder.

Marchand says, barring any municipal burning regulations, daytime burning rules are now in effect for those wanting to burn brush around the yard.

Marchand says for most of the region, fires are restricted to two hours before sunset and should be extinguished two hours before sunrise.
