Threats Wearing On Staff And Students

A Lakehead school board official admits the threats made against Hammarskjold High school are wearing down on staff and students.

However, Bruce Nugent told 99.9 The Bay Morning Host John Ongaro everyone is persevering through.

“And when I look back at my youngest son, when he was in Grade 12, he had 2nd semester, chemistry, math, biology or English…. these kids are getting ready for university or college, or the world of work, or apprenticeship.”

The Board official adds offering a $5-thousand reward leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is threatening Hammarskjold high school is unchartered territory.

Nugent says this needs to end, as staff and students don’t want to be out of class.

“But you can see the gravity of the situation, we really want this to be over, we want this done…. someone has to know something out there, to help us out.”

The Lakehead board official reminds you the tip line for police is 684-5001.
